Dr. Andrew Escamilla, a native of Port Isabel, Texas, completed his medical education at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Afterward, he pursued his residency training in Emergency Medicine at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Escamilla returned to his community in Brownsville, where he joined Valley Regional Medical Center as a physician and serves as the associate medical director of the Emergency Department.

Throughout his career, Dr. Escamilla gained extensive experience caring for patients of all ages and diverse medical conditions. Recognizing the pressing need for improved mental health care and resources in the Rio Grande Valley, he took a proactive step. In May 2023, Dr. Escamilla opened Ilumina Ketamine & Infusions, offering IV Ketamine treatments as a solution for individuals with treatment-resistant depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and chronic pain.

Anabell De Leon is a highly dedicated and motivated nurse practitioner with 21 years of experience in the medical field. She began her career as a medical doctor in Mexico and later became a Certified Surgical Technologist. She then completed training as a Registered Nurse, working in the ER, OBOR, PACU, ENDO, and Trauma and Open-Heart surgeries. She has certifications in both orthomolecular medicine as well as IV infusions for general wellness and chronic health issues.

As a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she brings her expertise to our IV infusion clinic, delivering exceptional patient care. Mrs. De Leon is a valuable asset to the healthcare community, combining her medical experience with a passion for holistic health. Her broad range of skills in these critical areas of healthcare makes her a compassionate and well-rounded practitioner.
